KOBE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY CENTER

The Kobe International Community Center (KICC) was established with the purpose of contributing to regional internationalization and creating a pleasant and livable environment for Kobe foreign resident population. The KICC offers information in English on lifestyle-related issues and municipal government, and a variety of services to further exchanges between citizens of Kobe and foreign residents. The KICC hopes that it can help assist in the strengthening of mutual understanding between individuals of different cultural backgrounds living in Kobe.

Consultation For Foreigners

Free consultation is available for foreign residents and those involved with foreigners. On Monday and Wednesday afternoons, specialists are available for consultation on visas, international marriage, etc.

Library Corner

Newspapers and magazines from around the world are available for reading. There is a selection of books introducing Japanese culture, international affairs, Japanese language study and international exchange, etc.


Meeting Rooms

Meeting rooms are available for meetings of a non-profit international exchange purpose. Applications for use are accepted from the first day of the month prior to the month of the date on which you wish to use the room.

Program

Volunteer Program

This program has been established with the aim of encouraging international exchange at citizens' level. The program introduces Japanese people who are willing to teach foreigners who want to learn the Japanese language / Japanese culture (Calligraphy, Japanese flower arrangement, etc.) for free. Those who would like to participate should come to the reception desk to register (Monday - Friday 10:00 - 17:00).
